Hopewell Chemical FCU offers VISA Debit Cards to members with Share Draft Checking accounts in good standing. The cards are chip enabled and may be used anywhere VISA is accepted. You may also use the card at an ATM to get cash.
Please notify the credit union if you will be traveling. This will help prevent interruption in your card services.
If you have Card Valet, use the app to disable the card as soon you notice it’s missing. If you do not have Card Valet, you can call the credit union at 804-452-2480 during business hours or 800-472-3272 after business hours to report the card as Lost/Stolen. Please speak with Lauren or Heather to review your account for any unauthorized transactions and to verify that a replacement card has been issued.
From time to time, we may need to contact you to confirm a transaction made with your VISA Debit Card. You may receive a text message from 37268 or a phone call from the fraud monitoring department. The caller will NEVER ask you for your FULL card number, they will reference a case number. The sole purpose is to verify legitimate transactions and identify fraudulent authorizations.
Please be mindful of how and with whom you share your card information. Once a merchant or company has your information, they may initiate a transaction at any time. This is especially true for free trial offers and creditors.
Always check for skimmers before swiping your card at an ATM.
